So, the story line of the game.

Humans>
As a Human, you first need to gain the trust of the humans there,
you can gain this by completing missions, like:

Take a N'avi village over.
Help Defend
Rescue someone

and that type of missions

Then, once you have their trust you can go and find 3 tree's, and for every tree you need 3 crystals
these crystals must be found, once placed at the right position of a tree, it will create a signal.
When you put 3 crystals at 1 tree, you have to go back to the HQ, to input the data, and the position of the Soul tree is getting clearer
Do this 3 times.

Then, you have to go to the soul tree, again input 3 crystals.
Then, Ewya can "Prepare" the world, with this signal Ewya can see what is going to happen, and the humans won.

For the N"avi, it's this:
Again, you need to gain the trust, with missions (like the of the humans, but then kill humans)

Then, you have to get (aswel) 9 crystals for the 3 tree's, once 1 tree is connected with 3 crystals the N"avi also has to go back to the HQ (Home Tree) and sing the song.
Once done 3 times, the Soul tree position is shown.
Then, they have to go there and (again) put 3 crystals near the soul tree (have to be found, again) so that the N'avi can prepare Ewya to attack the Humans, and send them back to Earth.

The main terrain type is jungle, they all already start with bases that keep sending humans / N'avi against each other
You can gain better items by leveling, you get EXP for killing humans(for the N'avi) and for the humans, kill the envoirment (plants and stuff) or N'avi
ofcourse, you also gain EXP for missions.

Pseudo-joke apart, tthat game doesnt seem to be as awesome as the movie from what i'm reading.
I'll comment more later, gotta do sthg, brb.

Umm wth is this? I didn't read 100% of gara's post but from what I read it isn't the map you're making...

Exact, he's talking about the actual game Avatar, which exists. It was developed at the same time they were making the movie.
It's a 1-player game, basically nothing to do with my map.

I would totally rename the "Avatar" Idea of yours, you can ofc use the storyline but not with the Avatars and stuff.
Becuase, you donot have the right models, making it look very strange
it wil be nothing compared to the movie or the game, making it unpopulair by avatar fans (there are alot of avatars fans)

You can use the story, but I would chance it
like:

Avatars are Night Elfs
and this is on a diffirent planet, the Goblins finally found a way to get into Space Travel.
and then they land there, and get new shit upon them

I would try to forget the Avatars, and replace them with something else.

just, what I think of it, becuase if you want to do something that looks like the Avatar stuff, I'd wil take lots of time (since the map you now have, is still in a beta-beta-beta-alpha condition)

I see.
As long as i'm not doing a public test, this shouldn't be a problem though.
The map is in a stage so early that usually, i wouldn't even have showed it. That leaves much room from improvement.

Atm it's an altered melee, it's not supposed to be like that in beta. Rather (for avatars/na'vis) like some quest to federate all native forces against the reckless invader, to fight it and all kinds of damage it causes to the planet.
Please tell what you think about that precise gameplay point before i continue.

The same way you could say change CC so that you got good models (no models for some colossi atm)...Or did I not get your point?

well, if you ask me the Colossi models are fine, but if there are missing a few, then you just miss or maybe 3

but, if you saw the movie then you should know, that Dj0z is missing maybe a 50 models?

Tbh I didn't get the question much... But yeah atm it's like melee. So maybe make the avatars start with everything built (as it should be), unable to rebuild and not being able to train more men or sthg. And with those men, they do quests like savin the beasties from sthg untill the humans make factories and anger them... then they start fighting. But still, I dunno if you asked about that Very Happy.

Add "Locust" to the smoke unit wenn you throw a "puff ball". Now you can mark it but with locust it will be unmarkble.

I purposefully removed locust from the activated puffballs so Corps can shoot them to stop effect, should i undo that change? Does it look weird? Anyone who reads this may give his opinion.

Well it depends how you look at it.
If someone doesn't figure he can shoot it to stop it he'd think OMFGWTF I CLICKED ON IT
And if someone figured he can shoot it to stop the effect he'd be... grateful Very Happy
So maybe add tips like in CC? appearing every 2 mins to give you instructions Very Happy
Or show the tip when a corp IS under the effect of those puffballs?
